  • Nickname: Captain Hook -- curly type
  • Collected:  From road cut on Nolansville Pike in Nashville, 1.1 miles west of Nolansville Road, Lower Bigby Formation, just above the laminated Hermitage Formation
  • Comments:   Scale Bar is 0.4 mm. Darkfield illumination of conodont under oil immersion.   Aligned according to base of denticles between two cusps at -25 degrees.  Images use JVC digital videocamera.  This element is noted to be "curled" into a sinusoidal shape -- the anterior cusp is twisted upward from the plane shown above, as shown on top views M2 and M3, both rotated to slightly different points -- reconstructed as stereo images in S4.
