Scolecodonts are from the chewing apparatus
of a worm unrelated to conodonts, although they may have some superficial
similaries.
Comments -- Biomineralization -- incorporating in very small abounts of calcium,
iiron or even copper -- can make tissues tough enough to function as teeth.
